PicCollage

Back to Ed Tech Tools
PicCollage is an application for creating professional looking collages using photos, stickers, text with fonts and frames. The app features a variety of layouts and templates, along with the extensive collection of customization tools. Users choose one of the many built-in and customizable templates, organized into seven different types of layouts. The collage layout can be modified by adding or removing frames, organizing according to the user’s needs.

The app features the ability to import photos from the user’s photo library, social media and web image search. Using simple touch gestures, the application features image effects, photo editing tools and sharing features. Users can choose from a variety of backgrounds and stickers or download a “Remix” collage to use as a template.

Finished creations can be saved to the photo library, emailed to someone, or posted to social media sites. Users can also follow others to discover more collages.

PicCollage for Kids removes all social media connections to the app as well as the public gallery of collages. Students do not need to create accounts in order to use PicCollage for Kids.
Educational uses:
  • Sequence stories using text structure signal words (first, next, then…).
  • Plan a narrative or plan a recount, using visual pictures
  • Showcase a visual representation of vocabulary, terms or definitions
  • Assemble a simple, visual report or set of instructions
  • Create a visual and written summary of a read text.

Getting Started

  1. Download the PicCollage app.
  2. Create a simple collage.
  3. Have your students or colleagues create a PicCollage.
